Dads and Lads Meeting on 19^th December 2015

Venue: Golden Fleece Public House: 166 Capel Road, Manor Park E12 5DB

Meeting was not quorate due to not having the required amount of members. However a discussion took place.

TD explained that the website is progressing well. He and PC met up with Erica (Honorary Committee member) and Mark Groceman to undertake upgrading the Dads and Lads website. Erica has kindly paid for the upgrading of the website TD said that the Dads and Lads website has been given a new logo. Togetherness brings success.

TD explained that Dads and Lads Complaint Procedure, Child Protection Policy and Constitution have to be input on the website. A Pay Pal link will also be on the website for parents and members to pay registration. TD informed the meeting that he expected the website to be up and running by early January 2016. TD will email new logo to all members. He will also keep us updated on the progress of the website.

AC explained that he is presently updating members CRB. So far he needs Michelle and TD information to verify. AC has sent out the list of requirements and FACRB to complete.

AC stated that Dads and Lads should acknowledge Erica and Peter contribution to Dads and Lads website. He will purchase a gift and card for the members to sign and present to Erica and Peter.

 

AC said he will also look at Dads and Lads Constitution as there are a number of clauses that has to be looked at and possibly amended. For example the number of members that needed to be in attendance at the Annual General Meeting (in order for meeting to be quorate) is far too high. Any changes will require a consensus from the members.

Following the meeting we spoke to the manager of the Golden Fleece. KR explained Dads and Lads aims and purpose in serving the community. The manager Claudia Barbu said she believed we had something positive to offer and wanted to know how the Golden Fleece could contribute. TD said he will send her Dads and Lads Governance, and letter of support from the MP Stephen Timms informing of our status as a Community Amateur Sports Club.

Claudia stated that on receipts she will look at ways of fund-raising for Dads and Lads.AF and TD will have further meetings with Claudia to discuss fund-raising for Dads and Lads.

The meeting ended at 17.30 hrs.
