KR to discuss working with young members who attend a Pupil Referral Units in Newham (Recently met a staff member who expresses interest in getting pupils taking part in D &L)

Prior to the committee meeting a presentation for the young players occurred in the back garden of the Golden Fleece. Food/snacks and soft drinks were prepared by the Golden Fleece. Players were thanked by the manager and coaches for their hard-work, dedication and input into D&L. Parents were also in-attendance and gratitude was given by the secretary for their involvement and commitment. Pictures were taken of players and parents with trophies.

ACTION CLAIRIFIED

1) Presentation will take place on 22/07/2017 in Wanstead Park, opposite the Golden Fleece

2) AF will contact the Golden Fleece on 25th June 2017, to discuss providing snacks and refreshment for the presentation of 22/07/2017.

3) KR and MA will meet to outline the medals and trophies.  They will meet on 17th June 2017.KR will obtain list/brochure from MA and will take it to shop in Barkingside where medals and trophies will be engraved and paid for.

4) TD will invite Nathan and William (previous players for Newham Warriors/aka D&L) to attend presentation of 22/07/2017. They will partake in activities such as training sessions with the young players and beat the goal keepers. TD said he himself used to be a goal-keeper, but in competitive matches his gloves always remained pristine clean, so he would not be useful in this area

5) KR will obtain the gazebo for the presentation

6) 6) TD will give DJ Dan a collection box. DJ Dan will use it to raise funds for D&l. He will be playing music at the Golden Fleece on 25th June 2017 from 1.30pm to 9.30pm. Everyone welcome.

7) TD will follow up with contacting Rt Honourable Stephen Timms MP, with regards to the local news paper carrying out an article on MA as one of the few female football coaches around. Stephen Timms has also been invited to presentation of 22/07/2017. Members need to arrive at approximately 12.30pm. Further notice will be given, nearer time.
