Recruitment & Retention

The following policy is within the aims and objectives of the D&L to

  1. Encourage and promote the development of Sport within the community.
  2. Provide the opportunity for Players/Members of both sexes and all ages to play competitive Sport (Football, Netball & Cricket)

Recruitment

It is not D&L Policy to approach other clubs to poach players. If a player or players from outside the club wish to approach, they will be accepted in line with the above criterion & ().

If a player or players wish to leave the club, it will be the duty of the relevant team manager or coach to establish any reason for unrest and report these to the management committee. Player or Players who wish to leave will need to sign a release form, obtained from the Team Manager.

 

Retention

It is D&L Policy to encourage players to join the club in line with the above criterion & (). All players signed up to the club, are encouraged to play a full part in the life of the Club, by attending training, education and social events.

The Club will actively back Player or official member who wishing to take a Coaching, First Aid or any other Sports related qualification, which are likely to benefit both the individual & the Club.

Attracting Players

D&L will be actively attempt to attract players under the above criterion by:

  1. Liaising on a regular basis with local schools. This will be done by personal contacts with staff, information sheet about the club, direct contact with pupils (with the Schools permission) and appeals through school newsletters. The D&L will endeavour to foster good relationships with local schools and to use school facilities wherever and whenever possible. This will include pitches and changing facilities.
  2. Articles in the media medium, including appeals for players and staff.
  3. Leaflets to be placed in strategic points such as Library, Community Centres and Newsagents in Forest Gate, Manor Park, Stratford & Upton Park.
  4. Word of mouth and personal contact with existing players who may be aware of other players who wish to the Club.

Current Staff and Players of the club will be responsible for promoting the good of Name the club wherever and whenever possible.
