Code of Conduct
When playing football, I will:
- Enjoy playing to the best of my ability
- Have fun at matches
- Talk to someone I trust or the Club Welfare Officer (), if I’m unhappy about anything at my club.
- Keep a balance between football and academic commitments.
- Listen to and respond to what my Team Manager & or the Team Coaches tell me & the team.
- Apply what is learnt during training sessions.
- Learn to play by the Laws of the Games as direct by the Game Referee.
- Respect my Team Mates, Coaches, Team Manager, the Match Officials (Referees) & their decisions.
- Not use foul, offensive & intimidating language.
- Respect the opposition Players, Coach/Team Manager & their Supporters.
- Appreciate good play from the opposition as well as my own Team Newham Warriors.
- Remember “There is no I in team”.
- Always try to do my Best.
- Be humble in victory & gracious in defeat.
- Remember that winning is not all-important
- Always look for the positive, even in challenging situations.
- Shake hands with the Opposition Team & congratulate them with 3-4 cheer (their Team name)
- Thank the Match Officials at the end of the game.
I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken be the Club, County Football Association:
I may:
- Be required to apologise to my Manager, the Coaches, my Team-Mates, the opposition team, their Manager & the Referee.
- Receive a formal warning from the coach or the Management Committee.
- Be Substituted or Dropped.
- Be Suspended from Training.
- Be required to Leave the Club.
In Addition:
- My Club, County FA or the Football Association may make my Parent/Carer/Guardian aware of any infringements of the Code of Conduct.
- The FA/County FA could impose a Fine and Suspension against my Club.
- The Club will ask me, my Parent/Carer/Guardian to repay that Fine to the Club.
